They protested because of rising of tuition and privatization of the University, and the silent protest was stopped by the police. The video of the police violence became viral, it was everywhere (you can see it bellow).
"I want the university and the police to understand what they did wrong," one of the attacked students Ian Lee said in a statement.
He plans to spend his money to pay tuition, and said that the other students will do the same.

Faithful dog doesn't leave his owner's grave for 6 years
