Memorial Center "Ground Zero",was built in honor of the victims in the terrorist attack, but is has become a popular gathering place for tourists. Number of relatives of the deceased are complaining of their levity.
"They giggle loud and photograph, many of them sit on the memorial boards on which are engraved the names of my dead friends, also sipping coffee as they are at home," writes Jolie Daniels in a letter to the director of the center.
In another letter arrived at "Ground Zero", a woman complains that her son's name has been destroyed by spilled coffee, and last June in one of the fountains group tourists threw a whole bunch of garbage.
Memorial Center "Ground Zero" was opened last year, place where 11 years ago were killed 3000 people.
It seems that the tourists who cоme to New York do not have any respect for those who were killed in the tragic accident that occurred in 2001. It remains to be seen whether it will prevent or punish this kind of behavior of the visitors.
Anticipated museum within the center was supposed to open this month, but the opening was postponed for 2014.
