Duke the shelter dog won the hearts of thousands of people around the world after he saved 9-week -old baby. The young couple from Portland will be forever grateful to the dog Duke, who saved their daughter.
On Sunday evening, after Jenna and her husband went to sleep, the dog Duke went in their bed and started shaking and acting unusual.
"He is very obedient, so it was extremely bizarre," said Jenna. Her husband went to check on their 9-week-old baby, Harper — and found that she wasn’t breathing.
”My husband called 911 and the ambulance came here and it was because of our Dukie dog, who alerted us,”“If Duke hadn’t been so scared, we would have just gone to sleep . . . He’s the perfect dog, he was meant, meant to be ours, he was meant to be hers...”said Jenna.
Jenna says that the only reason that she share this media event is to encourage people to get a homeless dog. Duke was rescued by them six years ago.
